I bought my truck for road trips so we can sleep in the back on the sleeping platform I built.

One thing I always struggle with is staying organized. We often drive to places for mountain biking, rock climbing, backpacking, scuba diving and sometimes surfing and sometimes some of each. We find ourselves with a small library of maps and guidebooks mixed in with sunscreen, hand sanitizer, beverages, snacks, cameras, cell phones, a lap top, an inverter and all the wires to charge them. It becomes quite a mess.

one thing I've been thinking about making is some kind of book case to go behind the front seats where the small jump seats fold up. I'm thinking of bungy cording going horizontally to hold all the books, maps and things onto the shelves or cubby holes.

Has anyone else made anything like this and care to share pics?

I have a milk crate behind the driver's seat in mine. I miss my old 05 double cab. In that truck all my tow straps, jumper cables, ratchet straps, etc. fit under and behind the rear seats and in the storage compartments in the bed.

Milk crates! That gives me an idea. I'll post pics when I make some progress.
