lifted with mickey thompsons with 33's, wrapped in mossy oak break up, trd e locker with grey wire mod, CB with big @$$ antenna.
i have my 02 tacoma which chewed through the ring and pinion.
well i found a 97 4runner front diff with the same gears as mine, from what i've researched everything is the same between the 97 4runner, and my 02 tacoma up front.
the only thing different i see is the ADD actuator. can i just take my actuator off my diff and swap it directly onto the 4runner diff? here's a pic.

4runner diff with weird lookin acutator: i believe it's vacuum?

like my diff. (upside down) but you see the different actuator. all electric??

looks like the exact same diff, just different actuators. my question is, can i just swap my actuator (bottom pic) to the 4 runner diff (top pic) without any problems? as long as the internals are the same, just the actuator is different, i don't see why not.

    thanks!

think i figured it out, found a guy on yota tech after about 3hrs of searching that put a 01-04 front diff in his 98 vacuum ADD diff with no ill effects. looks like i've got a big weekend ahead of me rolling around on the ground...
