What Oil Filter Do You Use?

    I've saw video after video of different filters. Some people like K&N filters, others like the original Toyota, and then some love the frams. It's about time to service the truck so tell me what you would use and why.:help:

    Perkins Performance Sliders, Warn 9000, Brute Force Fab front & rear bumper, OME/Dakar lift, full ATO skids and hi-lift mount, satoshi, Wet Okoles, illuminated 4x4 switch, Diff Breather.
    Toyota filter. I read a few comparison threads on TW and it seemed the Toyota filter was as good as any other. Also convenience+price ordering a bunch at a time online.

    I used to use Mobil1 filters. They were a little smaller in size but I suppose it depends on density and quality of the filter material. I've never tested my oil or anything.

    OEM! Fram sucks! The quality of the OEM ones is excellent and they are not that expensive. Mobil 1 oil filters are a rip off. Not worth the money.

    Yeah I agree with you about Fram. So this OEM sounds good I'll definitely check into that one.

    Trd filters. Have used them for all the changes since I got it but I'm thinking of switching to just the OEM one.

    I use whatever comes with the oil change special...:DI don't care what the filter is as long as it's not a Fram. But then again, I used to use Fram with my old Nissan pickup and they never gave me any problems.:notsure:

    I think it matters more that you actually change the oil and filter, rather than caring so much about brand loyalty. I'm sure others won't agree with me, but opinions are like ***holes, everyone has one and they all stink.:eek:

    Both are Stock - built correct from the start.
    Toyota. Used to use the "best" Fram or Puralator in all my other vehicles. This is an ex company truck which went to the dealer for it's maintenance. The oil is changed every 3-3.5k miles, and the dealer stuff is still going strong at 240,000 + miles, I figured I'll stick with it.

    Intake, exhaust, lift. Typical stuff.
    Fram, K&N, Mobil 1, etc... generally use the same cheap china made filter with their sticker on it.

    Most dealers sell the Toyota filters cheaper in bulk. I generally buy 5 at a time.
