I am preparing to install 1" ReadyLift spacer on the front and 1" rear lift block on my 2004 Double cab 2WD. I have read the procedure and searched around a little.

If i use a strut spring compressors is there any reason why i still need to disconnect the sway bar, control arm and lower ball joint? What am i not seeing as i look over the procedure and stare at my truck.

(The rear i am not worried about)

    Thanks

The instructions say that you need a spring compressor?
I was able to put in a spacer without one. Just followed the instructions on taking the strut/coil assembly and installed the spacer on top. Then somehow got it back in place (I forgot how. I think we used a pipe or something to get leverage back into place).

Disconnected all those things gives you a whole lot more room to work with.

They do not say to use a compressor, i just happen to have some and am looking to take off as little as possible.

I have read about "prying" but am looking for other options. I figure all those other parts are just to give you room but want to make sure.

    Thanks
