    is it hard to replace a exterior door handle on a 2001 tac? my outside handle that lifts up snapped off. shop wants to charge me 200 but found ones for 30 at jc whitney

    Depends on how handy you are, but really shouldnt be hard, screw drivers and small socket set should do, i would say try and get a OEM handle from a dealer or junk yard.
    Would consist of removing door panel and working thru there

    Detroit True-Track rear limited slip, steering rack bushings, shell, SAF decals, Wheelers 5-leaf & Bilstein 5100's, some nice LED lights from Chris, big-ass bumpers, older-than-dirt owner
    I did this a few weeks ago; the hardest part was the plastic clip that holds the rod onto the door handle, as my hands are big & I have arthritis.

    I got a new handle from Rockauto, but it was not the best quality. it works, but feels like it's going to break again soon.

    I need to fix my interior handle on my back door (I have a dCab). The handle is stiff and gets stuck in the out position. When that happens, the door will not shut all the way.

    Whatever you do, don't buy a door handle under $30. They're all cheap plastic and will end up failing you. I think your best route (and the cheapest) would be to find one of a junkyard tacoma.
