Arrow Will MBQuart door speakers fit front of 1999 TRD ext-cab 4x4?

I've got a 1999 Tacoma extended cab 4x4 v6, and it needs new front door speakers. They are 6.5" round. Can anyone tell me if the MB Quart ONX116 or PVL216 models will fit? They are the correct diameter, but I'm worried they might be too deep.

They will fit. Worst case you may need to build a baffle but I highy doubt it.

That's the part I'm worried about. I had a really nice set of Cliffs Designs separates from my old truck, and they wouldn't fit because they were a couple of inches too deep. I want to be sure the MB Quart's don't have the same problem before I buy them.

We used the factory location for the mb quart 6.5" driver and did a surface mount for the tweeter. Derick had to fabricate a new mounting plate for the driver as the quart driver is deeper than the stocker.

You can buy mdf speaker rings that mount between the speaker and door to bring the speaker out if it's deeper. Sorta like madjik said that dude did.

Madjik, your truck looks exactly like mine inside, thanks for the link! My door panel fits tight up against the front of the stock speaker; did you have to trim the door panel to make the speak fit after adding those spacer rings?
