I've searched this and can't find an answer, but I hate to add to the bukus of lift questions that are already on here.

I'm ordering the Bilstein 5100's and Eibach's today from Toytec. I was going to get the OME 881's, but I've got friends running the Billies and Eibach's and say they're a match made in heaven.

Anyway, I plan on setting the billies at the .85'' setting to get closer to the 3'' lift and am wondering if anyone has run this setup with the Rear ToyTec AAL. I've read that those only give you an additional 2'' and I'm wanting my truck to sit level.

    I guess my questions are:

    1. Will the ToyTec AAL give me something higher than 2''?

    2. Is a 1'' difference in ride height even noticeable enough to fool with?

    3. Is there another AAL out there that will give me something closer to the 3'' I'm wanting?

I don't wanna go over 3'' b/c I'm not trying to replace UCA's right now (on account of a woman thinking that money should be spent on her :pout: )

Also, anyone else running Billies @ .85 and Eibachs, I'd like to hear how that's treating ya. Thanks.

Only Gen 2 has .85" setting. Gen 1 has 0" to 1" to 2.5" on the 5100's so the 5100's must be left at 0".

That, I did not know. Will I get 2.5-3'' out of the Billies on 0'' with the Eibachs?

Yes it will get you 3". Depending on how bad your stock springs is, I think you will need a 2" AAL in the rear for it to sit level. BTW the rear always sit higher due to the weight of the engine and the cargo load in the back therefore there is what it is called a rake from the factory. So the 2" AAL rear match with 3" front would level it. Only cause the rear is supposed to sit higher.

I got 3.75" (with my Eibachs and and Billies set at "0"). Food for thought if you didn't want to go over 3".

I got about 3" with my Skyjacker AAl's

I have 881's on 5100's. They are 500 pound springs, Eibacks are 600. I would be unhappy with 600 pound springs.

I got about 3" in the front, at 0, of course.

Did you upgrade your uca's? I'm trying to avoid that, if I can

I didn't need to upgrade UCA's. Truck aligned fine.

    Head unit. That's it.
I had no issues as well. Just a blown cv boot. I still had rake until I loaded the back with 320 lbs of sand for the winter. Will bro ably help them settle.

and you only run the 881's?

3" seems a bit of a stretch for these when they're rated at 1.75"- 2" of lift. I'm running the same setup and I get 2" of lift

Just for sh*ts and giggles, what would happen if you set the Bilstein @ 1'' with the Eibach?

You would get over 4 inches of lift and more than likely you would damage your CV axles and it would be impossible to align.

Figured something like that. I'm putting them on tomorrow on the 0'' setting and will post some pics when I'm done. I'm going to get it aligned probably on Monday. Think Discount Tires can do it? I get free alignments with them, since I bought my Cooper ATP's from them.

I installed billies 2 years ago and recently add the toytec springs but after reading this i think i might have screwed up. I remember setting my billies on 2 1/2 inches when i installed them. Do I need to reset them to zero when adding the springs? I had rubbing issues before I installed the springs but now I dont and I dont want to have that issue again.

Got it done yesterday. Took about 5 hours, although we did a little lollygagging and took a lot of beer breaks lol. We ended up having to rent a spring compressor from AutoZone. And now I've got to get bigger tires b/c the 31's look puny under it. Anyway, here it is (the first pic is before and the rest are after):

looks great. Some 32x11.5 would look good.

And are those the MB tko wheels you have on that truck?

I asked what would happen if I set my Billie's at .85'' and TacoMX said, "You would get over 4 inches of lift and more than likely you would damage your CV axles and it would be impossible to align."

I also called Toytec and they said to ONLY put the Billie's at 0'' with the Eibach's b/c alignment will be impossible and your cv's will be strained a lot. I'm assuming, if you upgrade your cv's, you'll be fine, but the Bilstein/Eibach combo should only be set at 0''. With stock springs, you can set them at 2.5'', but with the Eibach's, I'd keep the Billies at 0''

No kidding, but my tire is like a quarter of an inch from hitting the uca, so I don't think I'll be able to go any wider without getting spacers.

And yeah, those are the MB's. I like them a lot.
