    Hey guys
Recently my clutch has started slipping on my 2000 3.4v6 tacoma. I am going to replace it with a Marlin Crawler 1200lb clutch. I am also installing a new flywheel. On the release fork that goes from the slave cylinder to the throwout bearing, does anyone have a parts breakdown and illustration of that? Mine squeaks when pressed and I was wondering if a bushing on the fork was worn out. Thanks

Hope this helps! Maybe a replacement release fork support is in your future?

And for this I'd recommend calling your local stealership.

Takes a few days (I'm assuming they won't have one on hand) but you won't have to pay like $12 for shipping!

Thanks again for the help man. I just ordered the clutch kit and flywheel new pressure plate blots and I plan on ordering the ball pivot from the dealership as well as new flywheel bolts. I have someone with a commercial acct to order these through the dealership.

I'm automatic but have had alot of manuals before, its been my experience that the squeak you speak of is usually the throw out bearing itself...;)

I don't think it is the throwout bearing and the reason I say that is I can pull the boot off and dab a small amount of grease on the fork support and push the clutch a few times and it quites.

Mine does the exact same thing, and my TOB is clicking under load -_-

When it comes time to change my clutch I'm gonna make a sleeve for the slave cylinder pushrod out of delrin and hopefully that will solve the problem permanently.

Good luck with your swap, let me know if you need the tranny removal pages from the manual.

Yeah I wish I had one taken apart without my truck being down I could maybe make a bushing or something out of plastic. We have all different types at school and I'm going for manual and cnc machining as well as programming so it would be fairly straight forward. I will try to take pics as I go through the clutch change. I will also report back on how I like the new clutch.

Good deal! I'm in my schools CNC program too haha. We just got a few new machines to play on too!

I had too much fun in the CAD department that I decided that I wanted to start making my own motorcycle parts and now I'm simultaneous 5-axis deep :D Gets addicting quick.

When I end up getting it apart I'm going to try to make it to where as you just have to pull the push rod out, pop it on and then re-assemble so no having to drop the tranny.

Haven't looked into it as of yet because outside of the noise being annoying, there are no functional problems.

Which brand did you end up going with for the pressure plates?
