Hey folks, I need your help. I just bought a stock 2001 TRD PreRunner for $8,500 with 74,000 miles on it. Everything is perfect on it, but I'm conflicted about the silver package (see pics). I'm thinking about swapping or buying chrome (grille surround and bumpers). What do you think? I know many people are anti-chrome these days, but the truck seems to 'pop' more with a little bling.

Yeah I'm kind of anti-chrome as well but I see what you mean on your truck though. I would leave it silver but it would look good with chrome as well.;)

So far we have 5 silvers and 0 chromes. I really am in the minority:)
One thing is clear, those of you with darker Tacomas (black, red), body-colored grill surrounds are best. Chrome looks cheesy on those. I'm still unconvinced on a silver Tacoma, though. Keep the responses comin!
Also, I'd love to see some pics of Silver Tacos...

Well, I like the chrome pieces. A pained front end will chip easier from debris.

I think the chrome would look great

I like chrome for accessories. But leave the body silver. That is a really good lookin truck as it is. Spend your money on something more useful....

I love my chrome! but reseantly I've been seeing alot of guys here painting there emblems and grills, so forth. and I've considered doing it my self. Start with the emblem and go from there. So I guess its mostly a personal appinion, you either do or dont!

Stick with what you have. Spend the money on better things like wheels or something.
