I bought my Taco a few months ago for cheap and contemplated reselling it, but it has grown on me, so I've decided to keep it and give it a facelift. I've researched a number of mods and have come up with a short list (3-6" lift, wheels & tires, rock sliders, skid plate, spotlights, headlights, grill, bumper, winch, & train horn), but I'm open to suggestions. Feel free to post pictures of your mods, brands, pricing, & suggestions and I'll take them into consideration. Thanks in advance! Here's what I'm working with...

I just want it to look purdy! Since it's a 1st gen, adding 4WD is not out of the question, but would likely be toward the bottom of my list.

I'd love to, but I'm lacking one thing...A DONOR TRUCK! (GRRR)

Stock as Stock can be with duratracs and a roof rack
Well I don't think you can get anywhere in 2wd where you'll need sliders. As suggested In the past sell for 4wd if you want it, if you wheel your 2wd your going to want the extra driven wheels eventually unless long travel is your thing

Like others have stated, you should base your upgrades/mods on the type of driving you intend to do. By your shopping list (sliders, winch), I'd assume a 4wd conversion and the added traction it provides makes sense and will be most beneficial to you. If you are looking for a cosmetic thing, I would do a 3" lift with wheels and tires, and the maybe some lighting stuff. If you are not doing 4wd, the sliders, bumpers, winch don't make sense to me. Plus, you probably won't get resale out of it if you have all this offroad equip but no 4wd.

Take a look at my build, if youre into the blacked out look, honestly the 4wd conversion is prolly your best bet before you get the equipment, for now just black things out, replace all your lights with leds, maybe a retrofit thats what I did haha
