I’m curious to know how much on a monthly basis does your Tacoma cost?

(Insurance, gas, How far you travel, repairs, upgrades, miscellaneous)

Please list your trucks specs like;

• year
• Engine size
• Tire size
• Gearing ratio
• Manual/Automatic

OK, my turn. I plan on owning the truck for say, 30 years.
bought my truck used @ $20k that's $1.82/day for 30 years.
I drive 30 miles/day, so 18 mpg at 3.75 a gallon is $6.25/day. $68,437.50:eek: per month.

To operate a Tacoma/day, for me its $8.07
/30 years, a total money pit of $88,366.5:eek::eek::eek:

and this isn't taking into consideration fluid changes, maintenance, mods, etc.

so, monthly is $242.10, but that's my bare bones scenario. everyone's is different

Stock 2012 DCSB TRD OR, 4.0L Auto, stock tire size. I do about 15K miles per year, mixed city and highway.

Averaging out maintenance costs and everything else to get monthly cost:

$20 per month general maintenance items (fluids, wipers, washes)
$260 per month fuel
$60 per month insurance
$50 per month property tax/registration

So I guess about $400 per month to own and operate at 15K miles per year.

I wish I was joking.
About $1500 a month.
-truck payments
-credit payments (cost of a new trans mission)
-insurance
-gas
-300 to 500 spent aimlessly on my addiction to have or do something new to it
-25 to get into the offroad park every other weekend.
I need an intervention.

I try not to think about costs but I just looked at my credit statement and it looks like I'm spending ~$300-450 a month on gas depending on how much I go out, $60 a month on insurance, and probably $50/month in misc extras.

Pretty sure I'll have to ditch the taco when I go back to school :( fuel will kill me once I start to double the driving I do.

2012 Tacoma Access Cab, 4x4, SR5, 4.0L V6, 5-speed auto trans.
paid $30k
Insurance is way too much (4 vehicles)
I only drive it about 70 miles a week (not my daily driver), so fuel cost is not the issue as if I drive "proper" it gives me 19+ mpg.

My biggest expense outside of monthly payment is MODS,
1) Icon extended travel coilovers up front, Icon remote resivoir and leaf pack in the rear.
2) Konig Countersteer wheels and Goodyear DuraTrac tires in 265/75R16
3) Pelfreybuilt 2012 front plate bumper
4) PIAA 580 driving lights
5) Relentless Fabrication skidplates (all three)
6) Avid Off-Road rock sliders

Coming soon... Mount my CVT Mt. Shasta roof top tent mounted on a bed rack being built by Avid right now.
