I noticed the boots on both lower ball joints are starting to leak. Should I just replace the boots or the whole ball joint? I've not noticed any issues, but honestly I don't know what sort of symptoms a bad lower ball joint would exhibit.
    This if for a 1999 tacoma, 4wd.

1st gens have a lot of issues with lower ball joints. I would just replace the whole thing. Better safe than sorry.

Only the very originals. The design was changed and all are good now.

Rockauto.com lists the lower ball joint separately. Will need to have a machine shop press it in/out.

I have around 110k miles on the truck. Unfortunately (?) the only recall for my vin is some tow harness wiring deal.
