I got a v6 01 Tacoma with 138,000 miles. I check my oil every thousand miles. And I use mobile one full synthetic oil changed every 5,000 miles. The past couple times Iv checked my oil. It's been not up to the full mark where I put it when I changed the oil 2,000 miles ago. It's like right in the middle. Is my truck burning oil? There's no leaks anywhere on the vehicle what so ever so it most be burning it right?

Its stuff that you can put in your gas and your oil. its supposed to do wonders... but i have never seen any actual benefits from using it.

as far as the oil goes, if it is disappearing and there is no leak then it is burning oil probably from worn rings which causes blow by.

I would be truly amazed if you are burning oil because of blow by with only 138K on the odo.

take it off and shake it. If it rattles, it's good.

Dissolves varnish and removes carbon buildup. Only thing that keeps the carbon from building up in the top end of my Mazda.

Raised idle oil pressure in my '93 Taco and virtually eliminated the oil consumption. I was going through a quart every 2,500 miles; got to below a half quart every 5,000. I believe that it dissolved the varnish off of the scraper rings, which eliminated most of my oil consumption.
