    Why are the over load springs turned backwards from the leaf pack?

    I'll see if I can find the link that I read it from...

    But basically when your leafs are at full compression under load, the upside down arch ensures that they won't travel past that point and gives them extra resistance when they are down that far.

    Just ensures you wont bottom out your suspension unless you're towing/carrying something you shouldn't be in a compact truck.
