I just cleaned my throttle body and IAC on my truck. She's got 128k on the ODO. After everything was bolted back together (I hope), I started her up and was greeted with a big plume out of the muffler. I did the Seafoam treatment about a week ago (gas, oil and pcv line) and she didn't kick out that much then. Seems to be running fine otherwise. Purrs like a kitten now. Should I be concerned?

Also, I dropped a wrench somewhere in the engine bay. How bad could I mess up the motor if I leave it in until weather improves? On a related note, anyone know what size bolts hold on the skid plate?:D

Here's a video I took right after I started her up after bolting the TB back on.

probably cleaner burning off. long as it cleared up I wouldn't worry to much about it. And a wrench in the engine bay wouldn't hurt anything unless it got caught in the fan or a belt or pulley. Skid plate bolts are 12mm or 13mm I think.

That was my suspicion thanks. Not sure if I want to risk it with that wrench floating around, the roads around here are crap.

UPDATE: smoke cleared up after driving a few miles. Wrench was stuck between the 2 front skid plates and it's a 12mm socket for the skid plates. Thanks for the help.

you should go buy a $2 magnet on a stick from the local auto shop and go fishing for that wrench. Your about to have a really bad day if it gets caught in something moving. google fod, its an aviation term but can be used in this case :p

I found it. I have a magnet and tried it but it was wedged between the 2 front skid plates. Had to remove one of them to free it. I went ahead and Googled FOD...
