Bump! I really need to know how you got the rear case bearings out with out resorting to a blind hole puller. I can see how to get the left one out, but the other is behind the casting. Any help would be appreciated since I want to tackle this tomorrow.

I have a first gen sc so they are different.

Sure you have seen this video, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=48a8QvPwbWQ

he mentions the part number for the tools needed.

here is what i would try on the cheap,(if the dimensions work) possibly with a slide hammer and heating the cage to release?

Yeah I have seen that and the process is different since you can access the second gens from the back... I may just dig into this and worse comes to worse I'll replace the one side and have a shop do the other....

seems the brass port is just a freeze plug and can be removed and installed as such.

I ordered the snout rebuild kit (#STDSNOUTKIT-N) and the rear bearings (#INRBRG ) from rollingperformance.com and just had my mechanic rebuild the snout.

He said I needed to replace the bearings between the rotors and the rotor plate too, as well as the seals? He didn't want to replace the rear needle bearings until we had the parts to do it all. So two sets of the 6203 Nachi C3 Open bearings are what I need? And then the rotor pack seals. Does anyone know a good place to order these or what the part numbers for the seals even are?

Jon bond performance. If your mechanic let's you, you should get some pictures of how he gets the rear bearings out. It would really help everyone here!

Neat! Keep me posted! I would just do it live, but with it being my only vehicle and it being a busy time of the year I can't afford not knowing exactly what to do lol.

Can be anywhere from $4000-$5000 if you buy new and do it right (URD 7th injector kit, O2 wideband, ect.) or anywhere between 1k-2k for just a used sc. Prices really do range and if you're ok with used then you can find some good deals. I will be around $1300 all together with the purchase of my supercharger, 7th injector kit and 2.2 pulley.
