Windshield Wiper Fluid... Mildew Smell

    When I hit the wiper fluid, I receive an nice shot of mildew stench in my cab. What is this from? Thanks.

    Maybe water has accumulated in the reservoir and mildew is in it. Thats the only thing I could think of.

    I had some windshield washer additive from Volkswagen that I came across and threw in the WW tank last summer. It had a smell and you could smell it in the cabin when you used the wipers

    pump all the old fluid through and get new stuff. I don't think you are supposed do this but I just use windex

    Satoshi with FJ badge, factory cruise, factory intermittent wipers, Redline Tuning hood-lift struts, Hellwig Swaybar, Rosen DVD-Nav
    Ventilation air intake is below the windshield. Any odor on the glass is going to be in the cab.

    Stop using plain water and use 100% wiper fluid... stuff doesn't generally grow in alcohol ;)

    Sounds like an expensive way to wash your windshield :)
