I've decided I do want to lift my truck just a little. My question is does the bilstein 5100 lift and spacer lift work to lift it 5-6 inches together? I couldnt find any write ups on those two together. I don't want that much of a lift so if they do lift it more than 3 inches which way is better?

No, it doesn't work like that. In order to get that much lift you would need a drop bracket lift. 3'' is about the most you can go without a drop bracket.

If you use the Bilstien 5100s, then you don't need a spacer lift. Putting both on would actually damage your truck. the 5100s will give you about 2-3 inches of lift, which is usually perfect for these trucks.

Ok good. All I want is 3" max. Which option is better for a comfortable ride?

Definitely the 5100s. The best option would be to get the Eibach coils with the 5100 shocks and install them together. That's what I have and it both rides great and looks great. If you want to buy just the shocks, that will still be an improvement over a spacer lift.

This is what I put on mine, it's just an extra leaf spring (flat arched piece of metal) that arches the rest of them more and lifts the rear. This will lift the rear about 2 inches, but you'll need to get the rear 5100 shocks to go with it, because the stock rear shocks aren't long enough.

10-4 man thank you. This is my first tacoma I came from jeep so I wasn't sure. I usually lift with blocks in the back. Ordering my kit as we speak and my work will install it all for free. Thanks for the advice buddy.

I lost track thousands of dollars ago.
What do you mean by comfortable ride because lifted trucks are normally stiffer then factory. If your looking for a plush ride I wouldn't lift it. Most of us think the stock ride it too soft so in turn we like the way the lifted truck rides. I had 5100's and Eibach springs and i loved it but it was a stiffer ride over the factory setup but It was what I expected.

This. It's definitely gonna ride like a truck, but since I was replacing suspension that had nearly 300,000 miles on it, I did notice that it seemed more controlled and just better in general.

One more question. Is the shocks the same in the front and back?

No, they're different. If you plan on getting just the shocks for the front and back, you can look

If you're buying them individually, then you can search the part numbers on here.
