    Hey guys,
I have no idea whats goin on with my tacoma. I started it yesterday twice and each time it would crank but the lights would dim almost like a power surge, all my dash lights and tail lights would do this. This morning i go to get in it and it wont start, it makes the diging sound indicating the keys are in the ignition, my dome and head lights still work. None of my gauges, stereo, or windows work and it wont even turn over, no sounds even come from the engine bay. I couldnt find anything on this and decided to turn to you guys for help. I am really nervous and need help ASAP!
    Thanks guys!

Battery voltage, battery voltage while cranking?

Sounds like a dead battery. If you don't have a voltmeter just hook up some jumpers and give it a go. Probably battery...

Could always be cables or something to so make sure everything is tight and clean.

I don't think it's the battery because normally if the battery is dead wont it still try to turn over and make a clicking sound? It isn't making any sounds right now

Check batter charge as well as a loose connection. Poor connections will make a good battery act like a dead or low charge battery. Let us know what you find out!

Thanks guys, that's what it was, found out my battery was 4 years old! Yeah, I've only heard good about interstate too, probably what I'll go with.

That's what I replaced my factory battery with.

Age doesn't necessarily mean anything. Are you sure it's a bad battery or did something drain it down? I would have it load tested after getting it fully charged to about 12.6 volts.

150-175 when warm, up to 300 when cold out.
