Front end swap

Does anyone know if you can put a 2000 Toyota Tacoma grill and headlight lights on a 1997 Toyota Tacoma?

Not before doing a lot of other modifications. It takes a lot of work, you would have to replace the whole front end from what I know. Being bumper, hood, grille, and lights of course. Maybe do some more research. I have a '98 which is the same body style as the '00, those can be swapped with an '01-'04. Not totally sure on your situation though. Hope this helps.

Try this link. I did some looking around and came up with this. Should be the same swapping into an '00.

Why would you want to switch, 95-97 is the best front end

I agree & if you study the looks of the '97 you'll see its the base look of what became the 2nd gens appearance

The answer is yes. With not much to buy in terms of parts.

Search for "STLHarry and swap" He did the much more intensive 95-97 onto an 01-04. It's much easier to do within the two eras in the 95-00 range.

The only thing you'll have to figure out is one of the mounting bolts/holes on each headlight.

Another one who did the conversion (opposite of what you're thinking) is VirginiaBound
