Yet another lift question thread

I have done countless hours of researching about lifts...wheels and tires....coming from the world of lowered BMW's this is completely different. Okay so first I have an 03 DC with 68000 miles on it. First I will start out with the wheels And tires I want to do. I want to get pro comp 7089's with 4" backspace on 285/74/16 duratracs. Now when it comes to the lift is what I'm not so sure about. With the wheel and tire specs pretty much provided to you guys with what I want to do I know I'm going to at least need to do a 2.5" lift. I was going to do the bilstein 5100s all around with eibach coils and a Toytec 2" AAL in the rear. With this set up am I going to have any serious rubbing issues? Mainly due to the fact that I still pay on the truck it won't see a whole lot of offroad so in the next two years it will be paid off and from now until then I will be building it to do roughly 60% on road 40% off road but for now it's about 90% on road 10% off road. I think that about covers everything let me know if you all need some more info.

Your plan will work for the tires you picked. My only other suggestion is, if you're getting eibach springs and 5100s up front, why not just get the entry level coilovers from Toytec? The setup is just a little more the and you can set your ride height to whatever you want.

Your choosing a 33'' tire..your going to have rubbing regardless of lift. You will have to cut the pinch weld and trim the fenders a bit.

Eibachs are a good choice. So would OME 883s. 2'' AAL won't level out the truck with either of those though most likely. Not unless you put a plate bumper and/or winch up front as well.

If its mainly a DD id go for a smaller tire until you really start offroading. Save on the gas.

Good simple way to go would be save up for a full OME kit with Dakar leaf packs and OME 883 coils.

Blackdawg is right. Any 33 and even my 32s require trimming the pinch weld when you flex. It's a quick job though.

I really don't need the support of the 883's but I could stick with 265/75/16 and go with the complete OME lift. How many mpg's do you think the 265's will save me over the 285's....I really love the way the 285/75/16's look.

I really want the truck to sit level. I don't mind changing things up a little bit in a few years when I do start offroading it.

Okay because I was thinking about going with the Toytec 3.5" complete kit. It has the diff drop kit I just don't want to out too much stress on the CV's

Doing a little bit of research I can't seem to find the pro comp 7089's with a 4" backspace. Will I still be okay with a 4.5" backspace?

im running 3.5 and I've blown more CV boots then I have appendages

also you'll be fine with the 4.5 backspacing, that's what I'm running with my 265/75 with no rubbage

I still would like to do 285/75/16's but if I do the Toytec lift I can set it at 3 inches and use the diff drop kit to have less angle on the CV's

youre running eibachs aint you? but you do alot of wheeling, im not gonna be doing nothing major and i dont want to be blowing CV boots im basically lifting for looks. some offroading though.

I have pretty much decided on doing the Toytec complete lift kit and set it at 3" the. With the 2" AAL I'm pretty sure it will sit level plus you won't have to assemble it when you get it. It's all good to go and it comes with the diff drop kit and all necessary bushing for installing the lift.

Yeah I'm sure it will but I just want to get the most lift possible without destroying my truck and not spending a ton of money the 1000 dollar Toytec lift seems like it's the one for me. The Toytec lift set at 3" with te 1" diff drop should help me out more then just doing eibach and bilsteins...
