engine knockish sound before engine is warm

my 2.4 has been making this knock (glog) sound since i did my first oil change when i purchased at 115k. i figured i used the wrong weight oil but after using different ones and having the same noise i do not know what to do. it seems to be getting louder. just changed to 10-40 oil and same noise as 5-30 and 10-30. after has been running for awhile the noise stops but hear sometimes. anyone else have this issue? she has 135k miles and gets the oil changed every 3000 or less. was just around 1000 over due for change and didnt knock. i changed and it started immediately.

 

Mines a lil noisy before it warms up.

Now mine made a noise that was kinda loud ended up bein the exhaust manifold was cracked..what year is your 2.4?
