Mirror question, are both of mine broken?

my mirrors (on the doors) both passenger and driver have no "stop" position. they fold fully in and out. i have never seen a mirror that didn't have a lock position and then you adjust from there for driver.

so do these mirrors really have no stop point or are both of mine broken?

really basic question, but i have just 1 truck and haven't found another person's vehicle to go tamper with haha.

I think you can adjust the tension on that ball joint hinge thing.

Should be a torx screw underneath.

mine will articulate all the way forward and back but somewhere in the middle it pops into a locked position. yours is possibly just too loose
