Trail gear axles

I'm going to regearing soon and need to replace my pass axles.

I was looking into getting TG axles. Is anyone running them? Are they worth buying or is OEM enough.

I'm currently running 33s with thoughts of going to 35s

Yeah looks like you needed them. What were your thought when you first got them did you feel like it was money well spent?

Also iirc your running 4:88 on 33s. How do you like that set up? Is it hwy friendly?

I paid $280 for mine and i LOVE THEM! i mean they are just metal so its nothing fancy but after snapping a stock shaft resulting in $900 in damages to my rear axle i figured it would be a good idea to play it safe and upgrade while i was replacing EVERYTHING inside the axle (i guess wheel bearing failure is the real reason everything went to shit but you know...details )

Yes i also have 4.88s and 33s... on the highway 3000rpm only gets you going about 80mph (which f**king sucks!!!!) but other than that the truck is torquey as shit and so much fun to drive haha.
If i was going to do it again i would probably go for 4.56s but since my future plans involve 35s i think i made the right choice with my 4.88s

Also, i never have to down shift on the highway or anywhere really for that matter which is a HUGE plus.

Damn sounds gnarly especially since I'm gonna have to start traveling 49 miles 4 days a week in June. But I have plans to go 35s as well but sometimes things don't go as planned. I guess I'm gonna have to really think about it. But I would look forward to the torque. I'd I gathered 4:88 route
