4:56 if you want it close to stock, 4:88 if you want a little more torque.

See ive heard both ways, 4.56 is a stronger gear with fewer teeth and thicker gears. with 4.88's i would be screeming out on the freeway losing mpg right?? its a stick

The differences in strength are so small, it doesn't matter. If you're worried about it, get them cryoed.

What gears are you running now? If they are 4.30s like I had, they kinda suck for torque. Like PcBuilder said 4.56 is going to be close to stock, and not worth it IMO. I'd get 4.88s and have the power/torque when you want it and just go easy with the skinny pedal when you're trying to improve mpgs

Stock 2.7 3rz manual comes with 4.10 gears I believe... At least thats what i've read. that makes sense to go with the 4.88's but you dont think im going to be redlining driving at 75? this is the first time ive looked into gears so i dont know that much.

Depends on several factors IIRC. Check your door code. I have a 2.7L 3RZ manual and I had 4.30 gears stock. Pretty sure 4.10s are in V6s/TRD models.

7.5" is for the front diff. 8.4" is the rear. 8" is TRD e-locker rear.

Now that I finally have the money to buy the gears I can only find 1 8.25 ring by midwest. I cant find any other maker on 4 wheel parts that make that size... not to mention they are reversed thread... why would reversed thread matter?

Go to Randy's Ring and Pinion (RingPinion.com) and you will find any of the gears you want for a good price. They are my supplier for gears.
