Hook jumper up to another vehicle that's in good working order, and run it. If it runs fine, then its your alternator. If not, Fuel pump.

Do I drop the tank or take the bed off to change the fuel pump?

Have you ever taken a fuel pressure reading? That is something you should do before replacing parts.

Yes, a fuel pressure gauge would be the way to go. It will tell us if the problem is fuel related, or spark related. Now that we know you have good, solid voltage we can go from there. I just don't like trying to help diagnose something when the baseline voltage is questionable. Have you actually had it checked for codes? Not all codes will set a CEL.

I'm also working on getting a code reader. Should have both this evening and we'll find out what it's saying. Also if the timing chain is out of time could that be it? The truck has 170,000 miles on it and I have no idea if the owner before me changed it. I'm just thinking of some possibilities.

If you mean timing belt, yes, it does wear over time. (your profile indicates a 3.4) They do have weird engine operations when the wear, but I think as bad as you are describing, you have something else going on.

Alright guys I replaced the TPS and that seemed to solve the problem. But now the cruise will not set and the light is just flashing. Also I have to bypass my gear shift button with the button beside it idk why it wont go into gear with that. Suggestions?
