Oil change help

Whats the best oil i should use in my 2003 tacoma v6?

 

whatever your owner's manual states for your type of driving. then the next choice is regular or synthetic. then choose a brand.
I use Castrol GTX in mine. However, if it meets the API specs, you are good.

some folks like synthetic, I am not crazy about it, but it won't hurt except in the wallet.

 

I like Mobil-1... likely 5w30 for your year and engine. 5w20 or 0w20 for my '08.

 

I use castrol syntec blend 5w30. Best of both worlds.

Synthetic blend carries the higher cost of synthetic, and the cold flow and film retention characteristics of conventional.
Synthetic blend is just a waste of money... may as well just run GTX. It's one of the better conventional oils available and holds up just as well as Royal Purple.
