Slight mistake on my post though... I was thinking of the socket size, not the thread size.
Ya... a 10mm bolt can take 80 in some applications, but not the 5mm (?) bolt that's under a 10mm head.

shock bolts are not suppose to be torqued to a bazillion foot pounds. unless you removed the bolt with it looking like that it was 100% user error. and if you think its the tools fault, like i said... you should stop working on your truck.

EDIT: went back and read a few more posts, so you set it to 35lbs? and this happened? VERY hard to believe. I guess shit happens.

 

My family has been in the automotive business for 30 years we owned a junk yard for 22 and my grandfather runs a body shop in Cali. And I should have clarified that when i said i broken other bolts but they were rusty. And that was the problem. I don't know what to say torqued all 3 down click next click next click.. Last one man this is taking way to long I better stop snap!! Don't know what to say Being around cars for all 22 years of my life ill have to agree s### happens don't know how to explain this one!

 

might as well replace all the bolts if this happened to one of them, just to be safe.
