I'd like to know about parts compatibility among first gen axles. Basically I have an '01 sr5 4wd with a rusted out housing and I'm looking at a bare housing from a '98. I want to know if my axle shafts and 3rd member will swap over. I would be replacing all bearings, seals etc. Is there any difference or will my parts be the same and swap right over? Not concerned with spring perches, those I can move. Anyone done a similar swap?
