I've read some posts indicating that these trucks have front struts. But I'm guessing that's just for the 4wd versions.

Can someone verify that the base 2wd truck has shocks that just drop out? ie, they are easy to replace?

Also, anyone know who the OEM manufacturer was for the original shocks that came with this truck?

    really appreciate your help.

ever thought about putting Bilstein 5100s on your trcuk? You don't have to be lifted to run those...and they are WAY better than the OEM replacement stuff and cheaper i'm sure

Yes your shocks drop straight out of the bottom, 3 bolts and you're good to go. I was convinced I needed a coil compressor to change shocks and was pleasantly surprised when I actually got under the truck and started working. I believe the factory ones are made by Tokico
