I'm a first time Tacoma owner?
I am looking @ this 2000 tacoma with 150,000 miles.
I'm confused it says it's a Prerunner. However the research I have done seems the Prerunner is not 4 X 4. This is.

It has a 4 cyc, 2.7 I4. It is also an automatic. I thought the 4 cyc were manual?
Any thoughts or advice would be greatly appreciated. I also will look carefully for frame rust, as I know that is a huge concern.3rd3t73F95r15s15M3d6p0b86a8eb608312bd.jpg

If the truck has really bad frame rust, I'd buy it to turn into toyota for more $... The best way to see if it is a 2WD vs 4WD is to check if the front axles are there or to check if it actually has a 4wd shifter in the cab. It looks really nice though!

The 4 cylinders can be manual or automatic. Auto was an option, at least on the base trucks
