So has anyone heard of people doing truck pulls with a Tacoma or has done truck pull with Tacoma, cause Im going to try to set up my Tacoma for Truck Pulls. Ok know saying that I was wondering what steps I need to do to set my truck up for this im already gonna run track bars and im going up on 35 inch bfg at and im doing the grey wire mod and putting a weight rack on my front end and building up my frame. Know saying all this I do not want to hear any negative comments from people who do not understand truck pulls or do not like truck pulls cause honestly I do not care and im tired of people being dogged on this websites just cause people do not like what they do ok.

I've got a cousin with a sas Tacoma (its like a 89 i think) that does them lol he does really good actually, of course his gearing is way up there and he has a twin stick and crawl box so that really helps. But still, it's a 4 banger that's out pulled old diesel trucks. I'll get some videos from him tomorrow if I can.

Definetly need to regear and you wont necessarily need 35s to pull good, Id personally would rather just buy a diesel to pull with since thats what they're made for, getting a tacoma in shape to make a full pull seems like itd be a lot of work, thumbs up if you do decide to go forth with it

Gray wire, Some lights in the bed area, and some character marks throughout.
You may want to re think using that rear end. As awesome as the locking rear is, they are more prone to failure than the 8.4" rears. If you are going to be running it hard like that with the 8", better have gears lined up and ready. Or, you can beef the shit out of the diff housing and truss it where it should be. Aside from that, you already mentioned beefing the frame up and re gearing. Good luck, keep the build posted.
