I took the info on the super informative gear ratio and differential sticky thread to my appointment to look at a 1998 std cab for sale (we bought it :)).

I took a picture of the VIN info on the door and the A/TM line says:

    ? / W59

    :(

It's a standard cab 2.4L w/ a 5 speed (I guess W59 is a designation for a 5 speed transmission). Original rims: 14x5J, tires: P195/75R14. Any info on what the gear ratio might be on this? I'm guessing given the tires there are only one or two typical ratios that were sold.

    Above A/TM line it says:

    RZN140L-TRMDKAB
    C/TR 3K4/FA10
    The VIN is 4TANL42N8WZnnnnnn

Thanks for any info you might shed.

P.S. Pic of the new family member is in the new members intro forum.

Where the "B03A" is in your example, the VIN sticker on the door says ?. Will post a picture in a few minutes.
