I've got a 2004 double cab 3.4L (2wd). Already installed a 3inch suspension lift. I am looking to eventually upgrade my tires from 265/75r16's to 295/75r16's. I've done some measurements and to my understanding I wouldn't have to trim as much of the fender well (cab mount) if I got a small body lift. now, there's always that part of me that wants to go bigger... always. Which makes me want to do the 1.5" body lift (being that it is the happy medium between 3" and 0-1"). I have checked out 4crawler and am definitely going with their lift. My question is what would you do? 1" for simplicity and subtlety? or 1.5" for just a tad more "mmph" (or lift)? I know, I know most will say don't get the body lift. But I've heard that, I've read around just wanted to pose the question and see what option you would choose if you had to.
Secondly: The upgrade to 295 is a big jump and I was wondering if I could cheat the system and upgrade my axle to 4.56 with out getting the bigger tires until a little later? or should I just get the 4.56 sit on it for a while and just pop it in after I get the money for the tires? Knowing that 4.56 is a huge jump in power (around 30% if I remember correctly) would I be able to get away with having it and my 265's work at the same time.
Again, just posing the thought. Trying to get some feedback on what I've been thinking about for a little while
