I've had my 881s on OME 90004s for around 4 years now, and it seems like they are starting to sag a bit. I've had a wheelers off-road AAL for even longer than that, and it still seems like it's around where it was at when I installed it. So the rear is looking a good deal higher than the front now. What would be a good coil that would put me back at level?

883s will give you more lift than the 881s. They are the same free standing night, yes. However, since the spring rate is higher on the 883s the coils will not compress as much. They are designed for people with plate bumpers and winches.

If you just want the same amount of lift as you had before get the 881s again. If you plan on running a bumper and winch down the road get the 883s. Fair warning the 883s will ride stiffer than the 881s with the stock front bumper.

Yeah, I understand the 881/882/883 differences. Just want to make sure the 883s won't put me higher than the AAL I have. Was never really happy with the 881 height. But when they were fresh, they were acceptable. It always leaned forward in the front, but that to me is okay compared to having your front higher

It's not too stiff of a ride?

You have 5100's or the OME shocks?

Yeah, that would have been nice.

I would have reciprocated and let you drive a truck with 170,000+ on the original suspension and shocks

Nice, looks good. I guess if it's too high I can get like a 1" shackle. And you're good as far as bump steer and stuff? No need for UCA's?

    Are those 285s or 265s?

Oh cool. the 235s look beefier than I thought.

Hmm, you'd def feel the bumpsteer on the highway. I felt it with the 881s until I adjusted the castor. It would dance around a lot, and took a lot of focus to stay straight. Driving when it was really windy was so annoying. I was afraid a cop would pull me over for driving drunk.

I have 883's on my truck with an ARB and 10k Warn winch. My suspension was completely worn out before I installed my OME 883's and Dakar's. In my opinion, I thought the 883's were a little rough riding until I installed the winch. Now it rides perfect (in my opinion)!

Here is how it was sitting the day after I installed the lift. This is prior to installing the winch.

883s FTW! I'm pleased with mine. It is KIND of stiff up front, but offroad they are awesome. I do notice some bump steer, but I think it's an alignment issue. Not enough to worry about right now. I've got the nitrocharter sports with them.
