Well, I've been a 4runner guy for a long time. Had a '99 and a '12. I let my wife have them and have been looking for a tacoma double cab. I found a 2002 with only 53k miles. $19500!out the door from the dealer. It is a double cab, 4x4 TRD, locker, etc.

Can all you experts tell me if this is a good price? I've seen some with over 100k going for mid teens on price. Any problems I should look for? It is a very clean truck and I dont think it has been used off road much, if ever.

The prices around here are insane for these trucks. I've seen ones with 150k going for $15k. Not sure how reliable KBB is, but it does book retail for $21k

Seems like It should be about 16 to 17k. Little over priced, it's crazy what low mileage first gens can go for

I bought a used 2nd gen Tacoma last year and I'm completely happy with it NOW, but at the time I really had my heart set on a 1st gen V6 TRD. All 3 times I went to look at one with under 100,000 miles, it sold for above 17 grand and went before I even got a chance to look at it.

I think that's a killer price for a double-cab with low miles and all the coolest options. Go for it but don't be surprised if someone beats you to it.

I guess if you break it down, the price is around $17,500-17,700...its when you add taxes and fees it puts it at $19,500. I think I might jump on it.

    20K?

Lol how much did a new 2002 tacoma double cab cost? Just outa curiosity.

I paid 11K for my double cab. 100,000 miles, clean, never off road etc. Just for comparison. Price seems too high imo.

But yours is a Prerunner. The OP is looking at a 4X4 TRD. In our neck of the woods, the resale value on 4X4 Tacomas is crazy high.

That's true, D60 axles cost about 3 times as much out there as here. Higher demand.

Well I went ahead with the purchase. I couldnt pass it up based on what I've seen for sale around here with mileage and prices. The truck looks good. Of course theres a few scratches here and ther but overall it is a very clean truck and low miles. Hopefully it'll last me a while.

Where do I get in touch with Arizona buyers? People in Iowa don't want to pay squat.
