Ok this thread totally doesn't belong in the 2nd gen. tacoma area, but in my 92 Toyota with a 22RE I got about 20 mpg.

91' standard cab--22re--5spd--93 octane--45 psi in tires--600ft above sea level. I got 29 mpg driving around the outskirts of Austin(best ever). Mostly though I get around 26 in the city at 3000 ft above sea level in Lubbock, Tx(flat land). I just ported my head and am installing an adjustable timing gear from lc engineering so I'm expecting better mileage. I heard hotter ignition helps alot on these trucks especially under load. Thanks. Brett

I think all pre-1995 trucks had the 22re, but don't quote me on it though...

All except those that have the 3.0L V6, or the turbo I4, or the turbodiesel I4, or the diesel I4 (all between 1982 and 1994).
