Sorry if this isn't the correct place to post. I haven't been on this forum for a few years, and don't know what products arecout there. I have an 03 Tacoma with a chrome plastic grill. It's fading, and starting to look like shit. So, I'd like to paint it black with a textured bed liner product. I know some are better than others. Spray would be best, but roll or brush on would workbif it's better. Looking for something that will not fade, and stay black. I also want to use it to paint a rifle stock for better grip.

    Thanks for your help...:)

I would use the spray can kind because it isnt so thick. I like the Rust-Oleum truck bed coating the best. Be sure to water sand the grille with a scotch-brite pad and then clean it after with simple-green and water so that the coating will stick to it, otherwise it will peel off of the chrome. As for fading, like anything else you need to use a "water based" UV protectant on it so that it doesnt fade in the sun. Same stuff used on tonneau covers and Jeep tops.

The plastic dip spray on paint works pretty good too.(so, I hear) I just used regular rattle can black on my crome parts.

I used it on my bed rack.

Like the texture and seems to clean up easy enough.

Duplicolor was kinda drippy and messy when I used it. I've used Rustoleum for most of my bed-lining projects
