Hi Im new to the forums, been a while since i have had a 4x4 truck let alone a yota.. And boy am i glad to be back!

I have a 99 Tacoma ext cab 4x4, its supercharged with the 2.2 pulley making 8 lbs of boost. only fuel mod is an upgraded fuel pump. I have never had any knock or pinging issues, and my wideband reads me a healthy 12.7 at WOT. However I know how i tend to drive at Glamis so this truck is gonna be pushed pretty hard over long periods of time..

Im thinking as a safety precaution i should fill up with 100 octane once Im out on the sand.. I know it will keep away the detonation, so as long as it doesn't cause the truck to run leaner i should be fine..

Woot got one week to get rid of that pesky open door chime, deck plate the air box, and grey wire mod it too...

Why is it detonating in the first place. I would look into that first..

It doesnt detonate at all (no pinging or knocking) its just that when im running this thing hard for 30 min strait it could get heat soaked and i dont know how it might respond to that... my thought is that 100 octane fuel should make none of that matter anymore

    ...too much shit to list.
2.2 with no piggyback/fuel mods is ballsy considering the factory ECU only allows for 7 degrees of timing retard. High gear low RPM WOT leanout is a given unless you're running stupid cold plugs. Are you running cooler spark plugs? If so how many steps cooler?
Bigger fuel pump is pointless if you have no other fuel mods. The stock pump outflows the stock injectors.

Good luck in the dunes with the diggers...errr uhhh I mean grabbers.
