I have an '03 stock TRD and has 122k so it's just getting broke in...

This has been my daily driver goin on 10 years and need a facelift/change.

Does anyone have any suggestions on improvements?

I would like to get a custom dash, new seats, lift and tires. Is there anyplace in the Inland Empire that does this? What would I expect the cost to be?

I am also contemplating a new '14, what is the consensus on the new ones? Is it a solid as the gen1s?

    Regards

    Eric

    Thanks. I am going to look @ a '14 access cab, 6 speed manual, V6, 4x4 Sunday.

My current Taco still runs great, so I am debating on using $$ I have for the down payment on new one to put new life in her.

    Regards

Keep the old one. It's already paid off. Fix her up the way you want and put the rest in a rainy day fund. New tacomas got way to many electrics and prohibitive 'safety' features.

Yup, haven't had a car payment in 8yrs. I know she's got another 300k plus in her, I am looking into Corndawg's suggestion of "3inch lift with 265/70 /17 tires and rims"

If I get a solid on a '14 and it drives/handles well it'll be tough to turn down.

    Regards

Skip the baby tires and throw on some 255/85/16's :D my buddy on here has them and his 1st gen and it not only looks great but has a TON of clearance if your into that sort of 4x4 thing.

I have 265/70/17's in an all terrain and 255/85/16's in mud terrain figuring I would swap wheels out and drive on the at's. Once I out the 255's on I never looked back.

Do your research before you drop good money on parts. Lots of options for you depending on what you want to do with your truck.

If you are looking for a good honest shop in the IE, I go to Yotamasters in Corona. They have been working on my Toyotas since 2008. I have nothing but good things to say about their work.

They have done my gears, lockers, suspension, and even my maintenance stuff like timing belt, brakes etc. If you look at my sig below, they did almost all of that work. Oh, and I live an hour away and still take it there. I trust them completely.

Absolutely, been learning a lot over the last week, especially from here
    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/suspension/142677-suspension-lift-info-includes-pics.html

I think I'm gonna go with a complete Toytech coilover package, just trying to figure out which one.

Is the only difference between the following Toytech llifts
    the coil overs and springs?

Ultimate Tacoma lift with Bilstein shocks
BOSS Suspension System for 95.5-04 Tacoma

Is there any preference to shackles or AAL for the back? Both will give 2" of lift, any difference in the ride?

    Regards

    Eric
