    Hey guys,

So just had a wonderful day in North Philly... Sike, when I was at my job I accidentally ran into a nicely placed pole when I took my foot of the brake by mistake. Anyway long story short I have a front bumper that is bent in about an inch farther than it should be... Its on the passenger side of the truck. The bent in side doesnt rub the tire at all, but all the same I dont like it. I guess how will a new bumper for a 2003 tacoma cost, or would it be more worth while to buy something with some more meat? I see a lot of off road bumpers and I know they are pricey...

Any way of bending the bumper out?

    Any diagrams for the bumper?

wrap one end of a strap around your bumper, and the other end around something bigger than your truck...ie a pole, another trucks tow bar...something sturdy and stout. Put your truck in reverse and back up. You won't be able to get it perfect but maybe close.

Thanks man I appreciate the help, being at college doesn't help when this sort of thing happens. I guess if were to do what you said how would I get the strap around the bumper? my friend also said we could try heating up the metal and putting a 2x4 in between the bumper and the tire to push it out too

You probably will need to remove the bumper plastic (what looks like the bumper is actually not). It's only a couple bolts. The metal which is bent, is under the plastic bumper cover. You'll need to bend that back into shape.

Yeah thats what I though, the plastic is only 'bent' because the metal holding it is bent. I will try that at some point

As the arrow indicates, that is the point of impact. The bumper from about the toyota badge all the way over is bent in about an inch.

The bumper is an inch or so farther into the wheel well then it should

The tires do not rub whatsoever though so its still drivable
