Can i put 15x9 rims on my 99 2.7 4wd tacoma

    I just got my truck looking to up grade have a chance to buy some classic 15x9 rims for cheap will the work and if so with what size tire can i put on them

    uh, first off, are they specific to Toyota, IE: hubcentric? if the pattern is 6x5.5 and not hubcentric, you can get filler rings to make sure they run true round...


    as far as the fit goes, if the backspacing is 4.5" or less, they will fit, however, the size of tire is the main concern, if you are not lifted, then you will be limited on your tire choices without rubbing, generally, you can go one size up from the basic 31x10.5x15 and be relatively safe, any bigger, you will rub at full lock...

    ^What he said. If you are going with wider rims, I'd look for a backspace of 4" or less. Also, like he said, being lifted would help you with those rims. Personally, I'd be cautious about running 10.5" tires on a 9" rim just because I air down pretty far and don't want to break a bead. On the other hand 33x12.5" tires will work well on a 9" rim.

    thanks for the info , the guy said they came off an older toyota
    31.10.5r15 would be a good size? im planning on leveling the front 2 inches after xmas before i put the new wheels& tires on im just trying to find a good fit and look
