3rd member question

Will a non trd diff fit into a trd housing or are the housings themselves different? I'm aware you can't put an E locker diff into a non trd housing without modification.

 

8.4" non trd and 8" e-locker have different size housings with different bolt patterns, they are only interchangeable with major modification to the housing.

Well I'm playing with some ideas on what to do with the double cab when I'm done switching the cab onto my frame. Wouldn't mind a nice fresh axle, might be a little more work then I feel like doing though.

 

double cab swap. You're my hero. haha but if i found a dcab to swap i would be all over it. keeping your current front end or going with the dcab grill?

 

As long as you two are comfortable where you're at with each other I say go for it!

Trying to figure out a rough idea of what parts are worth to part the donner truck out. Any input would be appreciated!

 

everything youre not using is worth parting. recoup as much money as possible. just post a forsale ad, state everything that you have removed and start waiting for your paypal to fill with money

 

I figured it would be easier to figure out prices. Does 1000 for cab and bed sound to much?

 

just the body parts? seems a little step to me, but if the paint and body is good and comes with all the insides then its worth it to the right person. ask a little higher then you want and know the lowest price you'll take

 

No for everything full interior all the works. Id rather not pull off all the little things if I don't have to lol. After im done with the build I probably wont want to touch the truck.

 

well being that its everything you should be able to pull something around 1,000. cant wait to see the swap. I would love to do a dcab swap, with a 97 front end, manual hubs, and a 5 speed. so many things out of place!

 

Lol yeah I hear ya. Been day dreaming about a SAS's 4 door 5 speed for some time, figured id pull the trigger on it.
