    Hello world!!!!
Just replced the clutch in my 2000 tacoma 4X4 TRD and I broke a wire to a sensor on top of the transmission. The sensor is on top right side about 3 or 4 inches from the gear shifter. I think it has something to do with the 4wheel drive but not sure. When i had it on the jack stands the front drive shaft turns but the front tires are not engaged. The light on the dash for the 4x4 wont come on either. I havent had time to check the 4x4 on the ground but the clutch and the truck runs fine. Does any one know what the sensor controlls?

If its a plug on the transmission, its the reverse sensor...

10-4 would it have anything to do with the lights on the dash for the 4x4.

No.If your 4x4 light doesnt work then it was the 4x4 senser... That is not on the transmission, that is on the transfer case..

Thanks for the reply, I'm gonna take the cover back off and repair it. Hopefully I can fix the wire.
