Every time i park in the parking lot seems like people bump the mirrors accidentally and each time i have to adjust them, they are manual. I was thinking since the doors are the same from 1995-2004 cant i simply just take off my mirrors and put on other side mirrors from a newer tacome that fold and are not as easy to turn with a simple bump?

The 01-04 mirrors can be used on the 95-00 4x4's. The only difference, is that one style uses 3 bolts, and the other uses studs on the mirror with nuts. Otherwise, a completely bolt-on swap. Keep in mind, some mirrors are electric.

What I want to know is if you can adjust the mirror manually if you don't want to bother hooking up the power. I want to do this bit don't want to have to I install the buttons.

It works fine. I ended up doing it a bunch when I was trying to remove the mirror panel from the housing. No ill effects afterward.
