As the title says I'm gonna address how to wire the corner lights of an 00 Tacoma so that you can use them as Parking lights and also as blinkers.

So I did the Blinker Relocation Mod where you drill an additional hole in your parking light and have two bulbs in the housing. I decided I only want one bulb yet still wanted to use my parking lights and have them second as turn signals. With a little research I finally completed it. Follow the links and view my "wiring diagram" :p Will upload more pics and some video tomorrow when my camera charges.

    To buy list:
Turn & Stop Socket W/Ground from local auto parts store
    1157 Amber bulbs
Some form of connectors I used Male & Female connectors
    Silicone
Dremel Tool or Large Drill Bit.

Note* Use some test leads to figure out which wire goes to the "Bright" filament label it and use that for your turn signal.

Very slick and I like this setup bettef than the 2-bulb. Do the new fog lights throw decent light or is it just for looks?

Its a very straight forward wire diagram. Dim setting is parking light and bright is turn signal. Are there any other Toyotas that run dual function bulbs? It would be nice to use a OEM tri-wire socket and not have to modify the lens.

Interesting. Do 4runners or Tundras have dual lamps? OEM costing would be to use as many common parts as possible.

I have to go to the dealer next thursday. I'll check to see if the plugs are compatible.

Did you ever find out if the plugs are compatible? I just smashed up my front bumper and would love to get on this as soon as possible.

Parts Dept was busy when I was there so they didn't have time to mess around. If it ever warms up around here, I may take a field trip to the local junkyard.

the turn signals on 01-04 uses 3157 dual-filament bulbs. however they only utilize 2 wires (ground and turn) so you will need to add a 3rd wire for the "running" light to work
