As far as the 930 boot goes, what do those run pricewise?

go to o reilly or advanced auto parts and get some cv axles with lifetime warranties.
i got mine for around 160 or so for the pair, and they have a lifetime warranty.
it took me about 4 hours to do the install, but ive done it 3 times now and i can get it done in less than an hour and a half total now.
i keep bustin em, and they keep replacing em. they arent cheap quality, the boots just keep failing. so i go get whole new axles for free.

There specs show to be 33.1 inches and it does seem to be right. I don't rub at full lock, only when stuffing them and turning. I did some trimming but need to cut more.

As far as cranking the shocks up too high ... possibly. If I do end up keeping the shocks where they are suppose to be and no higher, any recommendations as to lifting the front more without spending boatloads of cash.

If you want more lift and be safe the only option is a body lift (yup I said it). Or get 285s cut and hammer it to fit them and the bigger tire size will have you sitting higher.

Well, looks like im going to autozone for some cv axles and tire shopping lol . So are 285s as big as it gets ? and what about backspacing on the wheels. Doesnt that help to run like 3 or 4" backspacing ?

I don't even know what back spacing means honestly. Well I kinda do, but I don't understand how it affects being able to fit bigger tires.
I have 285/65/18's. I can go bigger because of my bumper. I have around a 2.5 inch lift with my fox's.

All depends how much you want to cut (you can stuff 35s if you cut enough :D) I'm not sure what the backspacing is on the wheels I got but there aftermarket (got rims with the tires) but it's different then stock for sure.

It moves the center of the rim(Idk how to explain it), but if I had stock rims I'd have to run spacers with the rims I got it moves the tire out

You're thinking of offset. Negative offset means the center of the rim (where you bolt the rim onto the truck) is closer in on the tire, spacing the tire and rim further away and out from the truck. Positive offset places the center of the rim further towards the outer edge of the tire, making the tire and rim closer in to the truck. The more negative offset, the further spaced out your tires are.

285's are pretty easy, especially with wheel spacers. A little trimming in the wheel well (or a big hammer) to clear the pinch weld. 315's are also doable (33's).

35's require some cutting/welding (but not too all that hard):

lol Just funny reading posts if you ask me . I already hAmmered the corner piece that everyone has probably rubbed . Im thinking 15" wheels offset/ backspaced or whatever with 33" tires. I need something great for highway and some offroading here and there . I also read about stuffing 35" tires under the fenders but I have no interest in that kind of trimming . I put down professional welds but I dont think I could go into my daily driver like that . Not until I get another vehicle to drive while the truck is worked on. But hey its always nice to hear from other guys and gals that drive my almost same truck :)

Where are you located? Tidewater area is always looking for some good welders to help on mod days.

I just fitted for 35s but it is not my daily driver. Stick with the 33's minor trimming to make it fit!

Hey paul, the only problem with being near norfolk is the fact that most places want alot of shop experience which I do not have . I have spent ennough time welding and have my 6g done. Not having on the job experience really holds me back . Alot of places need welders but I never get called when I send my resume so I guess they dont need them that bad ? Any suggestions? pm me

You try the Navy yards? Poor hours, good pay, and they always hire.
