    Should the steady bearing be super tight or some play? I can push mine up and down about 3/16 of an inch

    Are you talking about the carrier or center bearing on the driveshaft?

    Like BDM asked, are you talking about the carrier bearing for the driveshaft? If so, there should be a little play in it.

    Ya the one on the rear drive shaft ....I always thought it was called a steady hearing my bad
