Hi, all. I just installed my new TrailGear front bumper and need some turn signals. I don't feel like doing the blinker relocation mod b/c the misses already gripes enough about me ripping apart my truck, so I plan on just getting the TrailGear LED turn signal kit; it comes with everything I need to simply mount the signals onto the bumper.

My question is, to anyone running these, does the stock turn signal female port plug directly into the TrailGear turn signal?

Why not give TG a call & if it doesn't, just get some butt splices and crimp them down, easy peasy.

I tried calling, but they're closed until Monday. Yeah, even if I have to splice it, it's no big deal...still easier than a blinker relocation.

The turn signal mod is actually a piece of cake. It was about an hour of actual work. Just had to make a couple of trips to the auto parts store.

Yeah and that's why I posted mine, because he's an 01-04 Tacoma. You can't just cut notches like the 95-00.

We have to add the socket to give the bulb enough room to fit. My turn signal bulb almost touches the lens even with the extra length from the socket. So yes, 01-04's have to use glue ;)

the turn signals are independent of the running lights on first gens so all you need to deal with are two wires.(for each light) The LED's likely have a black and a white wire coming out of them but I don't know what Trail Gear does.

If there is not a compatible plug already attached to the LED's then you will need to cut the plug off your current turn signal connector and connect the two wires in that connector to your LED turn signals. The lights won't work if you do not get the polarity correct so test your connection to be sure the turn signal operates when you activate it. If you get it backwards, don't worry about it, just reverse your wires and it should work. (you won't harm the LED's, they just won't work if the polarity is reversed)

Once you know how you need to connect the wires, I recommend soldering them together and covering the joints with a piece of shrink tubing.

Alright guys, I'm off on Tuesday, so I'll be tackling the turn signal mod then. Thanks!
