Hey guys, so today when i started the truck up today the abs light came on as soon as I started it. I've looked around the web and haven't found a solution. I live in maryland and the past few days it's been snowing or freezing rain so I've been in and out of 4wd a lot. I haven't noticed any difference in driving or handling at all. But yet the light is still on. I tried disconnecting the battery, but nothing. The weird thing is it wasn't on last night but it just decides to come on this morning. Should I be concerned?

Mine is a Gen 2 but the same thing happened a few months back. I wiggled the cables where they connect to the front hubs & the ABS light went away.

Go down to advanced or auto zone and have them scan it.

It's most likely one of the wheel speed sensors.

Ok so I tried wiggling the wires, didn't work, I guess I'll just take it to be scanned

Mine is on too but I also have a leaking rear axle seal that's covered the rear brakes and all the electrical covered in dirty gear oil.

My ABS light came on a couple years ago. My local Toyota shop removed the connectors, blew them out with an air hose and reconnected them and the light went out. He said he has seen it happen many times.
